Are you annoying your audience?

Do you ever feel like you’re annoying your audience with your emails or social media posts? I do all the time.

Here’s why I think we shouldn’t worry about annoying our audience...

1. It’s your job! A record label’s job is to tell people about great music. So don’t feel bad for doing exactly what people expect you to do.

2. No one is thinking about how much you post! We’re all too busy being worried about what people think about us

3. People need at least 7 touchpoints. Marketing experts say that a person needs to hear about a product (or new album) at least 7 times (from 7 unique sources) before taking action…

One more thing to consider…

Our audience is made up of people who love you (who you can never annoy), people who don’t love you (who will just unfollow or unsubscribe) and people who don’t know yet (and still need to be convinced).

So keep doing what you’re doing, don’t stress about it, keep telling people about great music, your audience will take care of themselves naturally!
